Mindfulness

Between stimulus and response there is a space.

In that space is our power to choose our response.

In our response lies our growth and our future.

--Victor Frankl

Much of what drives our thoughts and behaviors stems from unconscious and habitual patterns. Mindfulness is the foundational restorative practice because it brings awareness to these patterns. Simply put, mindfulness is sustained awareness of our own internal experience (thoughts, feelings, emotions, sensations, memories).

By witnessing our experience in a moment-to-moment and nonjudgmental way we increase our self-awareness and self-acceptance. This opens the door to healing at the deepest levels and the ability to change the thinking and behavior that causes trouble in our lives.

Mindfulness can be as simple as relaxing into your body using the breath and noticing what arises. Whatever arises is OK. With sustained attention you’ll notice that something else will arise and the process continues. Mindfulness is a proven stress reducer.

We offer customized personal and group training in mindufulness.
